THE LONELY DOLL tells the story of Dare Wright, a pioneering photographer who created a groundbreaking series of children’s books in the 1960s. The developments in Dare’s life coincided with the evolution of the women’s movement in the twentieth century. A story about the power of imagination, our show explores how the act of creating art is also the act of finding one’s agency.
